Unlocking the next generation of life science research
Spatial transcriptomics analysis, now faster than ever.
Our purpose
From Raw Data to Results, Faster
Attacca exists to make spatial transcriptomics analysis accessible to every biologist. We have firsthand experience of what it's like for labs sitting on data for weeks, stuck in setup, and facing the confusion of trying to code and use software that isn't your expertise. We built Attacca to change that, delivering high-quality analysis and results without the barrier of a steep technical learning curve.
Background & Understanding
"Spatially resolved transcriptomics methods are changing the way we understand complex tissues."
— Nature Methods, 2021
Named Nature Methods' Method of the Year in 2020, spatial transcriptomics has moved from emerging technique to essential tool. Unlike conventional sequencing, it captures gene expression while preserving the spatial context of where that activity happens within a tissue which gives researchers a far richer picture of how cells organize, interact, and function.
This has made it especially valuable in fields like developmental biology, neurobiology, and cancer research, where understanding cell position and organization is central to understanding disease itself. We're at an exciting moment for the field. The technology available today is faster, more accessible, and more powerful than when it first earned that recognition since then opening the door for far more labs to bring spatial analysis into their own research.
The Problem
The Bottleneck Holding Research Back
The tools built to analyze this data haven't kept pace with the technology itself. The result is a bottleneck that limits the real-world impact spatial transcriptomics could have on research, on diagnostics, on discovery.
In practice, this means researchers are left wrestling with a fragmented toolset stitched together from scripts, packages, and one-off pipelines, each requiring its own setup and expertise to run. It means friction every time a specialist is brought in, and time lost simply getting them up to speed on the context of the experiment — what the lab is actually trying to find out, and why. All of this takes time that should be spent asking better questions, not fighting infrastructure.
The Solution
Putting Analysis in Your Hands
Attacca was built to close that gap. We created a no-code platform that takes raw data output and turns it into meaningful visualizations within minutes, not weeks so the hours once lost to setup, scripts, and specialist handoffs go back to the biologist, where they belong.
It's an end-to-end platform designed to empower the life scientist directly. No pipeline expertise required. No waiting on a specialist to free up time. No translation layer standing between you and your data, just a direct line from raw output to insight, and more time spent on the science that matters.
